Apam Manis UTP, values learn from uncle and aunty!

Sempena bulan Ramadan, MPPUTP decided to organise the Bazaar Ramadan in UTP campus area.

However, due to organiser are lacking of experience for organise bazaar ramadan for 1st time, this bazaar consider a failure bazaar because only 1 stall decide to do their business in UTP.

By the way, the uncle and aunty of the apam manis very nice! They have the endurance to stay still their business until 26 August without giving up UTP market. They believe they can be the pioneer in UTP one day. Besides, the service of uncle and aunty really thumb up, super polite and considerate to students!!

As the repay of their endurance and good service which can see by God, the name of their apam manis is getting more and more famous day by day among UTPians and gain stronger in UTP market. Even the feedback from the facebook page of "Bazaar Ramadan UTP 2011", some of the UTPians are proud of the Apam Manis and stated "the only Apam Manis, only available in UTP, cannot get from other places during this ramadan month!"

Lastly, I'm really admire for their endurance and their plan for future business expansion!!  Maybe in francais, whose know?? haha...

1. 买 (mai3)
-Mostly being used by Middle Part of Peninsular Malaysia (eg:Kuala Lumpur,Ipoh)
Defination from people in particular regions:Direct translate from Cantonese,just a 语气助词 after some particular words.
Sentence Making from people in particular regions:这包饭加买辣椒给我。
Defination from people in Batu Pahat: There are 2 meaning in Batu Pahat, 1st is the chinese word "buy"; 2nd is the Hokkien word "don't want".

2. 是要(shi4 yao4)
-Mostly being used by Sarawakian (eg:Kuching)
Defination from people in particular regions:Express the feeling when something happen in bad shape.

We have been gone for 12 stations in Perak, Kelantan and Terengganu on 16 April until 19 April 2010. The stations had visited is as following:


16 April 2010

1st station : Lata Kekabu, Lenggong (to study granite and other features such as xenoliths)
2nd station : Kampung Pecah Batu, Lenggong (to study contact between limestone and
granite)
3nd station : Grik (to observe meta-tuff)
4th station : Banding Pass (to study slate and quartzite and determine its bedding and
foliation orientation)

Child-Pro Charity Night 2010

On 2 April, a great charity night had been successful achieve the target set and get a lot of positive comments from many students and even Beautiful Gate,Kampar! Before joining this event, I only had chances to helping all those unfortunate children by raise the donation for World Vision with my friends during my high school time with beyond our selfishness of decency.

But now, the objectivity Child-Pro 2010 let me to have chance involve in knowing them better and care them even more. I believe in the importance of positive impact is an issue of magnanimity and dignity to make their life better, can make them enjoy living everyday happily without think of the tragedy story. AT LEAST!!!

Besides, from this event I managed to make some new friends from Beautiful Gate, included UTAR internship student, Chee Hooi.
